Right in the middle of Watamu Marine Park is the lovely Garoda Beach. You can get there in just 8 minutes by tuk-tuk from Villa Jua.

What makes this beach so special is the harmony between the beach and the surrounding nature. The dense vegetation that surrounds it makes it a hidden gem set in tropical greenery, a peaceful retreat in which to recharge.

Also, the emerald-coloured water creates a pretty unique spectacle. When the tide is low, a kind of sandy path emerges, which sometimes allows you to walk to the front islet.

Garoda joins the equally tranquil Turtle Beach to the north, creating a 6-km-long white sandy beach where you can walk or run in the early morning hours.

What to do at Garoda Beach

Like most beaches in the area, Garoda Beach is great for water activities like diving and snorkeling. It’s the perfect place to admire the colourful marine life on the seabed.

When you go to Garoda, you can enjoy all the tranquility and relaxation of the beach by renting a comfortable sunbed or taking advantage of the services offered by the Kobe resort. There’s a nice restaurant right here with a sea view, but you’ll need to book well in advance.
